Why unicorns are the key to my every day

So, it’s been a while.

After the ismithwords.com design overhaul, I felt like I needed some improved content to match the new outfit. I hope you enjoy what’s to come, I might be opening my heart to you all a little more frequently, which I hope is ok. It won’t get too messy, I promise…

I read a couple of weeks ago that BPIRAU is the new ‘Shit Happens’. BPIRAU stands for ‘Bitch Please I Ride a Unicorn’. I much prefer this to ‘Shit Happens’. Because ‘Shit Happens’ implies that you just let it roll off your shoulders… you don’t care… you won’t let it bother you. I’ve never been good at ‘Shit Happens’. Because things bother me.

‘Bitch Please, I Ride a Unicorn’ on the other hand, I can get on board with. Because it’s a way of saying, I don’t care what you throw at me, I am bigger and stronger than anything that stands in my way, I will rise above it, conquer all and deal with it.

So as I mount my mono-horned creature I shall leave you with this photo of my beloved sidekick. And remember, you too can have a unicorn, just flick your hair, hop on board and ride away…

You’re very welcome. I had a little unicorn binge on wordpress this morning and really liked your poem! I hope the phrase brings you some satisfaction. It certainly has me smiling every time I use it!

I prefer YOLO, but hey, BPIRAU works too but I gotta say, it doesn’t flow off the tongue as well as YOLO. Say it again, yooooloooo. (No I don’t actually use this hahahahaha)

Ha I’m not a lover of YOLO either but you’re right, it just trips off the tongue. I don’t even know how to go about pronouncing BPIRAU ?
